I am frustrated with the current state of Hawaii's education system. Teachers are doing the best job they can with very limited resources and the recent addition of furlough Fridays hasn't helped. I used to teach high school mathematics, so I identify with the teachers' struggles and know the common pitfalls that inhibit student success. I also know that the economy isn't so great right now and private tutors and learning centers can be expensive. Therefore, I've decided to try to make a difference. I've created this blog with the intention of offering it as a service to the people of Hawaii by making the subject of mathematics more manageable. Put simply: I am here to help.
If your child needs help with a particular math problem or understanding a certain topic, either send me an email or contact me via twitter and I will do my best to help. To ensure the best use of everyone's time, please do NOT send brain teasers and gimmicks.
